You’re crazy, and here’s why that’s a good thing

Sorry, I don’t mean to be offensive… but you just are.

Ok, ok… don’t leave. Let me explain.

I’m glad you chose to stick around. *Double thumbs up*

Here’s why I called you crazy.
You’re different.
You’re a conscious entrepreneur.
You see things aren’t as great as they could be —socially, environmentally, economically…
And you want to change that.

You want to make a difference.
Awesome! Thank you for that. *Hug*

Wanting to change the world can be quite the burden, though.
In a sense you carry the fate of the world on your shoulders. *Sigh*
Not a small task, huh?

What a journey…
And, at times, quite the lonely one at that, right? *Big sigh*

I can hear you thinking: “I know… Thanks for the peptalk, dude. You’re not helping.” *Shrug*

Bear with me… I’m getting to it. *Smile*

Let me tell you a story I heard once.
It'll make everything worthwhile:

“Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.

While some may see them as the crazy ones,
we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

—From the Think Different campaign by Apple (1997)

So… you might be crazy, but you can change the world!

And you’re not alone.
I, for one, am crazy too. *Smirk*
And there have been, are and always will be a lot more crazy ones.

Just to name a few:

And they can be a great source of inspiration to us —you and me.

That’s why I designed a poster —a poster to give myself a mental boost to keep me going.
Every time I feel low, forgot why I'm doing this or just can’t seem to find my way— I just look up, see my role model and remember that it’s all worth it. And I feel inspired again.

My poster shows Elon Musk —founder of Tesla, Paypal and Space-X. One of my personal role models.

...and source of inspiration?

I’d like to celebrate that you’re also a crazy one (like me) and help you to keep going when things get difficult for you. I’ll design a poster with your personal role model on it. As a gift from me to you.

All you need to do is answer the question in the comments below and I’ll send you your personal poster by email. Then you can print it yourself (or have it printed for you) and hang it on your own wall to keep you motivated.

[Update] Gifts for three of your fellow crazy ones:

And finally, let me end with this:

So, you’re different.
Embrace it!

Dare to be different!

That’s what will make you stand out. That’s what will attract the right clients. That’s what will make your business grow. That’s what will enable you to make a difference.

Now, get out there and go make your mark!

With pleasure,
